Tinchuley is a small, well-kept eco-village about 15 km from Dawaipani, ringed by tea gardens and orange orchards. The name is said to mean “three ovens”, after the three hills that surround the village.
Things to do in Tinchuley
Walk up to Gumbadara Viewpoint for a wide view of the Teesta valley and the Kalimpong hills. Wander through the tea gardens, and in winter look out for orange trees heavy with fruit. Takdah is right next door, so the two are easy to see in one day.

October to March usually brings the clearest skies and the best mountain views.
