The monsoon turns North Bengal into a green wonderland. Waterfalls come alive, mist rolls through the valleys and the tea gardens are at their brightest. Roads are quieter and many homestays are at their most peaceful.The national parks of the Dooars usually close from mid June to mid September, so this is a season for relaxed stays, rainy walks and good food rather than safaris. Keep your plans a little flexible, as heavy rain can affect hill roads.These stays are especially lovely during the rains.
