Kolakham is a small hamlet about 4 km from Lava, at around 6,500 feet on the entry side of Neora Valley National Park. Pine, oak and rhododendron forest wraps around the village, and it stays wonderfully quiet even in the busy season.
Why visit Kolakham
This is a place to slow right down. Take short forest walks, watch birds from your balcony and, on clear days, enjoy the snow peaks on the horizon. Trekkers also use Kolakham as a base for walks towards Neora Valley.

Some trails lead into protected forest, so check with your host about permits before heading out. Kolakham pairs well with Lava and Rishop.
