What you will see
On a good day the snow peaks line up one after another and turn pink, then gold, as the sun comes up. The trail itself winds through quiet forest, so there is no need to rush.
Tips for your visit
Start before sunrise with a torch and a warm jacket, and carry a flask of tea if your host offers one. Clear skies are most likely between October and April. After the view, head back to Rishop for breakfast or drive on to Lava.
